Saskatchewan’s Only Private Laboratory is now offering COVID 19-testing to all SK asymptomatic residents

Quantum Genetix today announced the ability to provide a COVID 19 test to all asymptomatic Saskatchewan residents.  Previously they were limited to only Travellers or Business-related testing. This test will allow asymptomatic people to pay for a test and receive results with in 12-48 hours depending on the level of service they choose.

“[We are excited to be able to now offer our COVID-19 testing services to all Saskatchewan residents],” says Heather Deobald, General Manager at Quantum Genetix].  Until now we have had to turn away people who want to have a faster test result or the ability to do a self-administered test in their own homes.    

A few ways we will see people utilizing the test will be:

  • Testing themselves before they visit an elderly person for compassion reasons in their home or a long term care housing facility
  • People living alone that are allowing one family member to visit them
  • People living with immune compromised family members who want to be safe
